License and panel

Your license key activates the plugin and connects your servers to the web panel.

Every copy of SentinelAC needs a license key. You get one straight after buying, on the License page of the panel. It looks like SAC-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.

Activate the plugin

1. Copy your keyFrom the License page of the panel.
2. Add it to config.ymlPaste it under license.key on each server.
3. ReloadRun /sentinel reload, then /sentinel license. It should say valid.

How the license is checked

• SentinelAC checks the key at start-up and every 10 minutes. The answer is signed, so it can't be faked by a fake server.
• If the license server can't be reached, protection stays on for up to 72 hours after the last successful check, then pauses until the server is reachable again.
• If the key is expired, revoked or unknown, checks pause and admins get a message when they join. The rest of your server is unaffected.
• Run /sentinel license any time to check again.

Send alerts to the panel

With dashboard.enabled: true, flags and kicks show up at panel.sentinelac.xyz along with each server's version and player count.

Flags are queued in memory and sent in one request every 5 seconds from a background thread, with a heartbeat every 30 seconds. If the panel can't be reached, the plugin keeps working and logs one warning.

Keys from someone else

If you were given a key, add it to your account with Add another key on the License page. Timed keys start counting down the first time they're used.
